The whole container process takes about 12-20 days, and LCL takes about 14-22 days. Thai customs implements e-Customs electronic declaration, and general cargo usually takes 3-5 days to complete customs clearance. Starting from 2026, the inspection rate for whole box unpacking will increase from 20% to 30%. During the peak season (June September), cabin availability is tight. 2. Key points of Thai clothing and textile taxes and fees:
Starting from January 1, 2026, the tax exemption policy for low value imported goods will be completely abolished. Under the new regulations:
-Tariffs: Low value goods are uniformly levied at a starting tax rate of 10%, based on the CIF value (value of goods+freight+insurance) as the tax base. Fashion clothing and footwear are subject to a maximum import tariff of 30% depending on the category.
-Value added tax (VAT): uniformly applicable at a rate of 7%, calculated as (CIF value+customs duty) x 7%.
-Total tax burden: The minimum sum of the two items shall not be less than 17%.
-FORM E Certificate of Origin: Holders of the China ASEAN Free Trade Agreement FORM E can enjoy preferential tariff rates under the agreement. Textiles that have not submitted a valid FORM E with the goods will be taxed at the most favored nation tariff rate.
2、 Shenzhen to Thailand Brand Clothing and Textile Shipping Customs Clearance Documents and Process: Thailand Customs Clearance in Five Steps
Step 1: Complete core documents
-Commercial invoice: must indicate HS code (Chapters 50-63), CIF value, complete product description (product name, material, style, quantity, unit price, total price), brand, trade terms, and country of origin. Prohibit vague descriptions such as' clothing batch 'and' textiles'.
-Packing list: The gross/net weight, volume, packaging type, and marking of each box must be listed, and the marking cannot be blank.
-Original bill of lading: must be consistent with the invoice information.
-Certificate of Origin (FORM E): A necessary document for enjoying tariff preferences.
-Brand Authorization Letter: Brand clothing must have an authorization letter, and without authorization, there may be a risk of product seizure.
-Import License: Some textile and clothing categories are subject to import control, and it is necessary to confirm in advance whether an application needs to be made to the Thai Ministry of Commerce.
Step 2: The label must be in Thai (a mandatory requirement unique to Thailand)
The Consumer Protection Law of Thailand explicitly requires that all imported product labels must use Thai language, and the height of the main identification text must not be less than 1.6 millimeters. The fiber composition, washing instructions, and safety warnings must be labeled in Thai, and pure English labels are not compliant. The label must be firmly attached and not easily detached or blurred during normal transportation and use.
Step 3: Importer Qualification and Electronic Declaration
Importers must hold a Thai tax identification number (TIN), and all declarations must be submitted through the Thai Customs e-Customs system. Electronic declarations must be completed 48 hours before the goods arrive at the port, and an import declaration form of September 9th must be submitted.
Step 4: Increase the full box inspection rate to 30%
Starting from 2026, Thailand will increase the unpacking rate of full container freight from 20% to 30%. Inconsistent documents, low declared value, and incorrect HS code will trigger inspection.
Step 5: Thailand destination port customs clearance process (our Lin Chaban cooperative customs clearance agency handles the entire process):
1. Preparation before departure: Assist in preparing FORM E, brand authorization letter, Thai labels, etc
2. Electronic pre declaration (48 hours before arrival): declare in advance through the e-Customs system
3. Formal customs declaration: Submit a complete set of customs clearance documents
4. Customs review and inspection: Verify the compliance of HS codes, declared value, origin, and labels
5. Tax payment release: payment of customs duties and 7% value-added tax on behalf of others
6. End of line delivery: Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Pattaya and other destinations throughout the country
3、 Shipping packaging requirements for clothing and textiles from Shenzhen to Thailand: triple protection to cope with high temperature and humidity
Thailand is located in the tropics, and the high temperature and humidity environment have raised higher requirements for clothing and textile packaging.
|Inner layer | Each piece of clothing should be wrapped in a dust-proof bag or non-woven bag and folded neatly. The brand tag and washing label must be intact|
|Middle layer | The carton is filled with enough cushioning materials (foam, bubble film, pearl cotton) to ensure that the clothes are fixed without shaking|
|Outer layer | Choose a five layer double anti corrugated cardboard box (brand new, sturdy, and undamaged), sealed with a "I" character, and tape ≥ 5cm|
Wooden packaging must have an IPPC fumigation label (ISPM 15). Unclear or missing labels may result in return. Thai label requirements: All labels must use Thai language, indicating the clothing name, fiber composition, washing instructions, origin ("Made in China"), manufacturer/importer information, and the main identification text height must not be less than 1.6 millimeters. Single box ≤ 25kg; sufficient desiccant should be placed inside the box to prevent moisture; The model number, size, color, and quantity correspond exactly to the invoice.

2. FORM E Certificate of Origin - Key to Tariff Reduction
Holders of FORM E can enjoy preferential tax rates under the China ASEAN Free Trade Agreement. Failure to submit a valid FORM E will result in taxation at the most favored nation rate. Textiles also require additional proof of raw material source to be submitted. Be sure to apply for Form E to enjoy tariff reductions.
3. Thai language labels are mandatory requirements (easily overlooked)
Thailand requires imported product labels to be in Thai, pure English is not compliant. The label must indicate the fiber composition, washing instructions, and safety warnings, and the font height must not be less than 1.6 millimeters. Missing or inaccurate labels may result in customs clearance obstruction or product delisting.
4. Increase the full box inspection rate to 30%
Starting from 2026, the full box opening rate in Thailand will increase to 30%. Inconsistent documents, low declared value, and HS code errors will all trigger inspection risks.
5. Brand Authorization Letter - Intellectual Property Protection is becoming increasingly stringent
Brand clothing requires a brand authorization letter, and unauthorized goods may face the risk of seizure.
